Dependent Visa and ILR application ?

I have got Tier 1 visa and I am eligible to apply for ILR ( PR) ( Indefinite visa) in May 2011. If I get married in Feb 2011, My wife will get a dependent visa - visas till my Tier 1 expires. My questions is whether i can apply for my wife ILR /PR/Indefinite as a dependent in May 2011 when i am eligible for ILR /PR/Indefinite ? or will she need to apply for 2years settlement visa once her dependent visa expires
