If you're meeting your bf's/gf's parents for the first time, should you bring them gifts?

if you are going to dinner at their house, for example, a gift is not a bad idea, just like you would bring to anyone's house if they were hosting you; whatever you are doing when you meet them, i would bring something appropriate to that event. ie. dinner, something more formal, like liquor, lunch, something more informal, etc. yes, a gift would be fine, nothing outrageous, just a normal host gift.
