Husky misbehaving, is heat to blame?

I have a 11 month old Husky and just recently he started destroying the kitchen floor by the door. This all started happening when we had neighbors move into the duplex.(they also control the heat)Anywho, I'm just wondering if they heats to blame or something else. He's usually a well behaved dog and he's outside most of the time, but I live in town, and I'm to scared to leave him outside over night.Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
