CAN I FEED MY 9 MONTH OLD BABY CHICKEN BROTH?

My 9 month old boy has a really bad cold and i was wondering if i can feed him chicken broth? i wasnt sure because of the high level of sodium and he really is eating much of anything even though ive been trying to get him to eat ANYTHING.
