Books that defend American imperialism in the early 1900s? (Pre WWI)?

I am well aware that there were TONS of books criticizing American foreign policy during the late 1800s and early 1900s for America's imperialistic policies, but does anyone know of any books that defend American imperialism prior to World War I?
